Thanks for the videos, whereupon quality you record them? It is that I see videos of the canon hv20 and have more clearness than this camera. I have doubts, if not to buy this camera or the canon
All the video's posted here are of HDR-CX7. Canon is a good camcorder, but this camcorder is a different story. It's so little and so light and does not use CASSETTES or HDD. The quality of this cam video is outstanding. Canon might beat this camcorder in some aspects BUT for now I don't see any advantages of Canon HV20 and colors are better on CX7 to me. Thanks for asking!
Judging from the pic at least it beats the SD1 hands down. Any chance of converting it to 720p.
I'm still debating between the cx7 and sr7. Plus for sr7 is mic, headphone jack, and dial for manual focus. Big plus for cx7 is how easy it would be to move the files to the computer.
Yes indeed, it's very easy to move files!! I never expected it could be so. By the way, some people complaining about HDD noise (motor) recorded with footage in SR7.
i've downloaded the cx7 manual and the Data Code option is described at page 65. if you enable Data Code -> Camera Data it'll display steady, brightness, white, gain, shutter, aperture.
You know guys what makes for me so easy to put new footage here is the usability of camcorder. It's so easy to get the footage off Memory Stick onto my laptop and straight away to upload it. So post your demand and I will try to post it. Thanks again for coming here!
With respect to the comparison of clearness between canonhv20 and Sony cx7 is yours ntsc? I live in a region pal and the videos of cameras pale have plus frames is thus?

All samples I post here are 15Mbs upconverted to HDV. I will add some more soon, guys.
I was just thinking if you could post a test of the manual focus. That's really the deal maker for me. And thanks for posting all the video so far.
thanks man. the lack of real footage on the web makes your site great.

Yes, I will put next footage with DATA CODE.
