Any chance on posting a video using the manual focus? I also heard that there is a spot focus if you want an area to be in focus. Does that work if what you are filming is moving around?
In spite of the much larger youtube audience the quality of youtube video is usually worse than my f707 even if it comes from a $100k varicam or sony f900.
Sure, the quality on YouTube is BAD enough not to consider it as quality video. But just to have some fun or to entertain yourself :). I will try to make some spot focus and manual focus videos later.
Also can you move the camera side to side during filming. I saw footage from the Canon HG10 over at dvinfo and it had some serious cmos rolling shutter effects. When the camera doesn't move the video is really top notch.
