I'm seriously considering this camera. What has been your experience with the memory stick cost? How close are the files you have uploaded here to actual playback on an HD television?

Hi Thanks for coming here! This camcorder is the greatest thing I have ever had. I am comparing it with my HDR-HC7 and CX7 overperforms HC7 clearly. The footage posted here is of CX7 but converted to HDV for better accessibility for you, viewers. The quality is not changed. The footage looks a LOT better on a HDTV than on a computer screen. Thank you again for asking.

For the last two any chance on converting to 720p. Also what software do you use to edit the mts files with or play them with?

Well I finally got the mts files to play using BS player and the latest klite codecs.

Hello, i'm doubting between Panasonic-SD5 and Sony-CX7.
I think Sony looks more sexy and i want to make photo's also.
Could you please post an indoor-video with people? Thats what 90% of my content is about.
Also, i'd love to see photo's with 6MP resolution. I'v seen your pictures but they're 1600*900, i wonder how sharp the full resolution pictures will look..
