Please download this file to have a look at HDR-CX7 low light footage. I have made the same for HC7 before but unfortunately the footage lost somewhere. Please check if you have downloaded that footage and compare with this one. You will be surprised how GOOD this (HDR-CX7) baby performs against HDV HDR-HC7.
All set on AUTO, including white balance.

I have transcoded the .m2ts AVCHD into .m2t HDV for you to be able to look at it without downloading AVC codecs. The quality will not become lower.
